Unidentified Man Found Shot On New Haven Street, Police Say

Police in Connecticut are seeking the public's help after an unidentified man was found shot on a city street.

The incident took place in New Haven around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 in the area of Dixwell Avenue near West Hazel Street.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. He is in critical condition, said Capt. Rose Dell of the New Haven Police.

Detectives from the department’s Major Crimes Division, as well as the Bureau of Identification, are on-scene collecting evidence and canvassing for witnesses and video surveillance, Dell said.
